INTEREST: ANB: NZ$835 million perpetual callable subordinated bonds

The coupon interest rate on the Bonds for the period from (and including) 18
April 2013 until (but excluding) 18 April 2018 has been set at 5.28% per
annum.

This rate equals the five year swap rate on 16 April 2013 (the rate reset
date) plus the margin of 2.00% per annum, calculated in accordance with the
Investment Statement for the Bonds.

A copy of the letter to bond holders advising them of the new interest rate
is attached.
