From FY18 report, Nearmap's CFO is being paid a total remuneration of $1.16M...he's doing a bigger role than CFO at Catapult? They're still reliant on shareholders for funding as at last year..
Most CFO positions will get $200-300k for a small company..you can't get good CFO candidate without paying >$250k per year I think..
At the end of the day, I think getting value alignment between management and shareholders is good for all shareholders, and the best way to go about this is to have management's wealth or compensation tied to the value of the shares of the company. So, this is a good move and I do applaud. In fact, we should just be paying the CEO in shares mostly, and I would be very happy with that.
