Also I can't be bothered to further explain - but there is a 50% chance in 9 months -the company will seek approval to market this drug paxalisib for GBM (first new drug for GBM in 15 years). At a likely gross annual sale of US$600m- profit US$300m means the drug would be worth US$3 BILLION for GBM.

if there was a real belief in the 50% chance as you say even in current conditions it should be easy for the company to raise through a white knight investor 20 to 50 mill at a 40 to 100 mill valuation.

so either the company reps are completely incompetent in their duties, or you are way off with optimism!
