    I would expect the directors would be duty bound to intervene. Just how that is done would involve input from lawyers and an ASIC report. Maybe a whisper from the company to a broker saying something like "we are on to you" may stop the activity without ASIC involvement etc.

    Just my opinion on how it might work.
