Not a great market but the people I work with are appreciative that management are controlling that which they have the capacity to control.
If and when management see the market bottoming, which I would suggest could be now or nearby (Syrah, being the largest resource and if volume is an indicator of production cost input, struggling on margins then competitors outside of the juristiction of uptake companies will have no chance of profit) then I would like to see Mr. Verner put his money where his mouth is, take a drastic pay cut and a fair and comparitive scaled performance incentive reflective to being the leader of the world's largest market in a material set for repaid demand increase. In doing this, he would maintain support from shareholders in his role and likely silence many of his critics (I for one am not one of those). If he were brazen enough to announce that he was changing the remuneration scale of his next contract in response to seeing the potential market bottom, I do believe it would assist in placing a floor on what has been a dreadful share price drop over the past year - I am down 70% and not proud of that.
As a laugh on the side, I would like to invite prospective investors currently donating their morning through share price degradation and capital raises to pay for presentation tours, fancy dinners and visits to the golf courses of the world to invest with Syrah, a low AISC producer of graphite and the world's largest actively mined resource of the said element.
Disclosure: We sold out of our investment with BAT (Battery Minerals) at profit to buy into Syrah for a 10+ year buy and hold position. My conviction to hold the position remains.
