It's a conundrum LowKey.
Perhaps if IGO was fair dinkum, start the oxide plant 2 years before the sulphide.
Anyway there is still a bit of drilling to do on both sides of the fence.
Do you remember the scoping study GAL released for the oxide ore? It was basically the same as the GSR/CNJ PFS, however the ore was beneficiated giving an overall recovery of 72% Co and 34.5% Ni ( JV 74% and 22%). This would be less ore through the leach circut and less reagents. The JV looked at beneficiating but decided on 100% of ore throughput.
GAL also looked at HPAL but decided it was too expensive and other possible problems.
HPAL plants are approx au$1billion plus, have a look at ARL,SRL and AUZ.
