I agree, the review is pointless, a waste of all shareholders' cash. Bonus for Greenhill & Co and Gilbert + Tobin.
Obviously, it was already determined in the earlier review to dump & run, so what's the point? It was the intention from day 1 of course.
CC was always looking for a buyer, and is presumably well versed in offloading strategies..
It's more about the process of announcing another 'review' that will never be seen by minority shareholders and which will then facilitates and underpin a sale outcome that most likely will be structures in the interests of the majority shareholder.Oh Deidre, what a coincidence!
If another large unfranked dividend is structured into the SP, , it's likely that more minority shareholders will sell 'under vale' on the announcement.
A clean ITG outcome would be best for most minority shareholders.Another 'strategic review' won't change that.
