It does seem that way. I would rather the directors give us transparent and honest view of the situation. It would help to avoid these crashes when the numbers finally catch up with them. Hopefully they have at least gained a better understanding of what clients want and the new products like boom2 will have a better reception.
It would be refreshing for them to admit that they missed the mark a bit the first time round but have created a solution. It might restore a bit of trust with holders and confidence in IAM.
