Boom will use your existing Xplan templates which obviously need to be compliant, there is an additional level of compliance checking in regards to the strategies selected to make sure that they are not in conflict with each other (eg making extra contributions when there is a cashflow deficit). This is where the AI will most likely develop in sophistication over time.
If you request modelling from BOOM this (as far as I am aware) is still done by an actual person.
I would assume that there was some way to restrict an adviser to provide advise in areas that they are not authorised though we didn't look at that.
