One more question and I hope you will answer this one... What is a good MD in a mining company? Personally, I live in Europe in a country without raw material resources and for me a good MD is a MD who develops his company by increasing turnover and profits with new products and new markets, while making his shareholders benefit from the good results.
On the other hand, it seems to me that a MD of a mining company is dependent on the quantity and lifespan of resources and the price of gold, things he cannot influence, right ?
It's like in rugby, it's the players who make the coaches and not the other way around... Put the coach of the All Blacks or the Springboks in charge of Wales, he will never win the World Cup, put the coach of Wales in charge of the All Blacks or the Springboks, he will have a chance of winning the World Cup !
