Lockie, I only did plugs and points - all mine came from Dutch Govt who looked after them.
If we happened to get a choofer (burnt No4 exhaust valve) we would discount it and send the bloke to a garage 1 hour east of Hook of Holland - arrive at 9 and be on his way at 11 with a reco head, plugs and points and oil and grease. And fantastic pastries - continue down the road - turn right - cross the canal - turn left 20 m.
English garages quote 3 days for that job.
