If you were Mac you would do it because this whole thing is now out of control and the market knows it by the fact the share price is under their bid. The market is starting to catch on that it likely wont happen now and share price dropping. Mac see this 5% group with RC at its head as totally destabilising their deal where Cottee was to work for them as head of CTP.
The whole thing is spinning out of control now with Board fights and Mac not seeing this as a straight deal anymore.
All they got to do is withdraw their bid and ctp shate price collapses to 5c or less as market will know Mac (the Lending Institution) is not happy and will likely do all they can to get what they wanted the other way...call in the loan!
That is end game for CTP and its shareholders thank to one selfish man!
