Still in two minds as to the probability of the lease renewal. Some good arguments each way suggesting that Pitt would never go against PM/party/cabinet considering the parliament composition in the wake of Kelly's move to independence. But there's also indications of a spine in Pitt which could ignore the politics.

The other aspect is there's still two applications in at NOPTA for the title extension. One's the original lodged over a year ago, which is still with the Joint Authority for decision. That could be rejected to appease politics. The other, however, is the recent application to extend on the basis of Covid related Force Majeure. This second one has gone back to Asset for further information. Bets on that they're scrambling to put the right words together to appease the Covid related application.

My crystal ball says that Pitt rejects the original suspension/extension/variation, but grants the Covid extension. This might mean then that Asset is again on the last roll of the dice, so they'll be scrambling to put the drilling and environmental paperwork and submissions in to stakeholders and NOPSEMA.

Maybe light at the end of a long dark tunnel for MMR holders??
