Anshof was definitely a failure as an appraisal well and a failure financially .
They expected it would quickly increase oil revenue after bigger permanent surface facilities were put in place .
It failed to do that .

However it can make another appraisal well less expensive utilising the upper part of the well for a side track .

It does not take much away from the big picture of the Welchau well or the many of the other prospects that ADX has .

Dealing with failed wells is just part of oil exploration and development , investors should expect some wells will disappoint .
