Since the start of 2004 the LME #tin warehouse inventory has dropped over 5,550t (-68%), with the current levels at only 2,655t. All of this metal is currently housed in warehouses is Asia, with virtually none in the #EU or #US.
What does 2,655t of warehoused metal mean for the tin industry? It's low, providing only enough metal for about 2-days of global demand.
With metal inventories dropping and concentrate hard to secure - the world is rapidly moving towards a tin supply crisis. $elt.ax is developing two reliable tin supply projects in Spain and Australia. No wonder $MLX.AX (a large global tin miner) recently investing $5m into @ElementosTin to further the development of our assets towards production.
