Ncc took a huge position in CGA. Lo and behold, they r given ctn now NSC. Everything is an inside job these days. The gents r good stock pickers but take concentrated positions in off the beaten path stocks. As a result, their performance will be more " erratic" than the typical LIC. To jump up and down after a few months of their performance where they have not even been fully invested is absurdity.
I own CGR which was a door mat for the first two years I owned it. I almost surrendered and did not because NCC became substantial. The stock was at less than 20 cents. Now 2 years later it's 60 cents with Morgan's, Wilson, GC1 and others on board. Tell me who you would rather follow.
I think NSC is about the best value LIC Out there. Even GW says to buy LICs when they r at a discount. They will have their day. They probably won't shoot the lights out but should provide a good return with fairly low risk. In the words of GNR. .... A little patience. Also NSC provides some diversity to usual suspects that most LIC own.
I do not own NSC because I have fundamental issues with LICs. A discussion for another day. Also I am fundamentally stubborn. At its current price it's one of my few buys and I am tempted.
Lastly, if you want to go auto pilot, I agree ... Fly Wilson.
