Take my advice... from an extremely jaded investor in a number of crappy LICs and LITs. Especially, with regards to ones I invested in from the float.
Sell. Sell and put the money where you feel is the best opportunity.
I have fallen into the trap of not wanting to sell at a discount... meanwhile I would have doubled my money by taking it out and putting it into a simple global index fund.
However, I couldn't overcome the frustration of selling at a 15% discount.
Closed funds (LICs and LITs) are relics of a generation gone by. They are all suffering from liquidity problems, because no one buys into them anymore. It's pretty simple.
Unfortunately, it will be many years before shareholders put enough pressure on managers to convert or be wound up.
