I have said it before, and I’ll say it again. Dont touch this with a barge pole. I trusted Karl and didn’t set a stop loss, it is now the largest loss in my SMSF. Karl has shown his lack of stock analysis by allowing the portfolio to get to 18% of ARQ Group, which has been proven to be an a/solute dog and significantly loss making. To allow ANY stock to have a weighting of 18%, except CSL, is in my opinion irresponsible. Karl owns 23 mil shares of CDM, but that means nothing to you or I. bring up a graph of CDM and see if it’s generally rising or falling, and you will see that it was falling significantly before the crash. There’s a reason for that, there are more sellers than buyers, thus, that shows you that there is a lack of confidence in the manager. All money managers are good in good times, but as they say, “when the tide goes out, you will find out whose been swimming naked”. My guess is that CDM have been inTheir birthday suit for some time ! Do your own homework, read my disclaimer about advice below, then make your own best judgement. But my recommendation is ......Dont !
