No, but you do pay them to manage your funds effectively and judiciously that includes selling those stocks that have the potential to fall significantly (even though they may be of good quality) and know when and for how long to hold onto the cash until the time is right to redeploy it ! Its not how much cash they are holding generally, it’s how much cash they are holding when the market is significantly down and opportunistically rather than generally. Your inexperience is showing !
