Eventually, some of these funds will outperform long enough for their fund managers to be once again lauded as savants, with investors using recent past performance as an indicator of success in the immediate future. That might push the NTA back up to trade at a premium.
Then once again, when it inevitably hits a rough patch, those same investors using recent performance figures will dump the stock as well.
Most people don't spend enough time to understand what their fund is investing in, their investment process etc. They just chase the figures in those performance tables with no regard to how those results were arrived at at their own peril.
