Have to tell you that I have made some enquiries with two (NOT ONE) Petroleum Engineers in the USA and they both confirmed that that equipment, even the 15,000 BOP's can be quickly flown in pieces to Australia if required. Although they are of the beliefs that, unless they will have a look at it themselves, it might not be necessary.

They are also saying that, with such a pressure If it is, could be caused by a small pocket of gas being that they haven't drilled through the SALT BASE as yet.

Let it be known that I have been making some enquiries with a couple of specialist in this field in the USA and it appears to me, at this stage, that what has been circulated around here in HC could be some sort of BS, perhaps some excuses too. As such I will repeat some of what I have been told thus far.

These people are saying to me that such a pressure is extremely hard to encounter and the possibilities are that they have encountered a small pocket of gas for, if it was a large deposit those kind of pressures are practically impossible. Especially when, as stated, that pressure is above the SALT BASE not after going/drilling through it.

As I am not a Geo I don't know but I am intending to follow it through properly and I will share my findings with everyone here.

And yes, once again, there are BOP's available in the USA which could be shipped at the request of anyone willing to get it here and willing to pay for it.

If the meantime, I will try and get my facts straight once more and, if necessary I will try and get in touch with a third Petroleum Engineer if needs be to either confirm or deny what I am been told. I will then wear the safety hat before posting though.
