Check this interview out with their CEO where he talks about higher processing costs of 3% in the US and the fraud prevention costs of 1 to 2% per transaction. Sezzle take on all the credit and fraud risk for the retailers, so it's really just 1% more and they drive additional sales etc.

Gen Z and Millennial customers in the US are lacking access to credit and have a 70% chance of being rejected when applying for a credit card.

You should look at PayBright - https://paybright.com/

They are Canada based, have an agreement in place with Klarna, have over 5000+ merchants including names you'll recognise, so Sezzle has no first mover advantage there.

Worth paying attention to metrics in relation to Sezzle in Canada, it is getting some traffic from Canada, but it isn't growing at all.
