Brown out Bowen (Bob)should be post haste encourage gas producers to bring on line new reserves- Ie cooper basin / PEL 182 ( santos/bass oil). Gas is the only real viable option for long term stable power for us , rather than the fantasy of so called renewables which require massive mining operations, energy storage systems. If we are truly serious about net zeroThe only carbon zero option which Bob fails to see as inconvenient truth is Nuclear. We can have SMR nuclear reactors placed at conventional coal power plants as a plug and play, which would then mean we we would not have to duplicate the poles and wires to reconfigure for renewables. The Nuclear options, would would give us cheap power (after first sunk capital costs) to last 80+ years. We really need to wake up to reality people.
