Calm down mate, Firstly, the fee structure, if you change it, during market down time, even they lose money but beat the market you will pay the performance fee.

Secondly, Last year they are doing OK, Regal long short fund has lost 12% last Financial year. Please donot mention RF1, as a professional investor, you should know share buy back below market price contribute a lot to their performance. And their emerging strategy is illiquid, so the valuation is based on several assumption. No doubt King is one of the best manager in Australia, but a fund under police investigation is not alway investors’ first choice. I believe Regal fund will continuous growth in the future. But I believe both VGI and regal have their advantages.

Thirdly, as we all see the performance was due to their short positions. This is also the reason we choose VGI, market goes up we need to share the pain, not only the manager.

every manager has their tough time, even Buffett and Ray Dalio. Only one years’ negative return you cannot deny a manager.

the share price is the only issue worries me, this week the NTA has growth, but still a lot selling pressure. But from latest VGI FUM we could see, master funds’ investors, those wealthy are still hold their master fund. Please calm down, one year (actually 3 months) performance means nothing. Especially, several other fund manager like Buffett, Ray Dalio, Schwarzman have all suffered the pain. This is caused by irregularities of the market.
