ASX-listed oil and gas players Cooper Energy and Beach Energy are among parties kicking tyres at the up-for-sale Golden Beach gas field, off the coast of Victoria.
It is understood the field's owner, a private company spearheaded by a pair of former Aston Resources executives called GB Energy, has its bankers at Credit Suisse pitching the company to potential buyers.
East coast gas play Cooper and the acquisitive Beach Energy are believed to be among local players to take an information memorandum, along with a bunch of offshore oil and gas private equity funds.
