Thank you, I agree. I think Roll-ups have a bad reputation because there have been some fairly high profile failures over the years and I have heard investors say "I don't invest in roll-ups" or similar
You are spot on about the partnership model being significant, and it differing from a more traditional roll up strategy it reminds me of the Munger show me the incentives quote.
My first thoughts were yeah but that was always the case, so what has changed? But I think you were referring to people who don't own the stock not appreciating the distinction.
