This is a steady-as-she-goes acquisition. I don’t see how they will stuff more mandarins down Aussie throats. Can’t have pavlova every week. I believe the AFR in saying the deal is China-focussed and we better hope China both changes its tune with trade and likes mandarins. There are a few “ifs” in this but that’s fruit ‘n veg for you.
