I think the lack of market support is due to the 2018 timeframe for phase III. It's simply too far away for most to invest now. What is the catalyst for most traders who don't take a long term view? Yes we can all speculate about deals before this time etc, but that is all it is at this moment - pure speculation. Sure some might get caught on the sidelines if a deal comes soon, but they could also get stuck travelling sideways or worse if it doesn't. We are still uncertain about what the FDA will approve for phase III trial design too. For many there will simply be other opportunities for now.
