That’s not really how it works!?
Initial samples are sent so their labs can verify the composition claimed by the company.
Further samples are sent for actual test work in battery components.
Further material is then required to produce a test batch of batteries and confirm performance, reliability etc etc.
This typically takes 6-7 months. Considering the current world issues, it’s perfectly understandable imo that this might take 12 months in this environment.
I’m not convinced that there were “many” qualifications that “happened a year ago”.
There is no evidence of this afaik.
Some other parties MAY have received initial samples (don’t recall off hand if a number was ever announced) but I don’t think we know if they did and then if they paused or halted the qualification process, and if so, for what reason.
