IMCO it comes down to the old way banks work and have worked for ever - “Show us that you don’t really need the money you asking for and we will be happy to give it to you!” In other words, let’s reduce our risk, by reducing the amount of $$$, keep the security the same and pay us more interest. That’s how it works for us banks, turn down the risk and turn up the reward,
