Doesn’t even have to make money - if I understand correctly, offering it for sale suits offsets mileage standards set for manufacturers.
It will be a slow burn if anything. Rivians don’t have the dealership infrastructure like Ford does - plus customers have been burnt by some of Fords garbage engineering in the past.
