China had some of the best smog free day in recent living memory due to coronavirus slowing down pollution. Oil is still going to be around for a long time but many people in China, India, Japan, Korea, etc really want to see EVs and renewable energy, or anything that can clear the air around them. Hence we may not be surprised by new policies promoting graphite in EVs, etc. or just progress for BKT ( and others) to start mine construction.
The Chinese and Indian demand for EVs and battery storage etc is not difficult to predict when you consider that they produce very little crude oil domestically.
The USA election outcome may potentially have a bigger impact on policy than coronavirus. No advice intended.
