For me higher risk in Australia with coming Carbon Tax, critical shortage of skilled employees, very high labour costs, not to mention port bottlenecks and Queensland floods. Gillard government will be here for another 3 years so any promises made will be paid through taxes on mining.
Our leases in Colombia adjoin exporting mines belonging to Drummond Coal and Vale. Not to mention the operating coal mines of Goldman Sachs and Glencore in the immediate area. 25 mt per year on a 200km gov produced railway.
Your sweeping generalization points to no factual knowledge of coal exporting mines in Colombia.
If these mines above can operate effeciently with substantial amounts being forwarded for expansion, what was wrong with Colombia again?
