Several gold miners and a nickel explorer presenting at the annual Diggers & Dealers mining forum saw an uplift in their share prices on a mix of positive news flow and speculation of possible industry consolidation.
EMR not mentioned specifically, but holding nicely in the 60's again.
Gold had a steady start to the week, trading Monday at $US1,940/oz ($2,666/oz) as the market waits to hear from the US Federal Reserve and its monetary policy meeting in coming days.
