Some info on Simon Moore and Colinton Capital. He's ex-Carlyle and a "friendly activist investor". Similar to his investment in AMA where he joined the board, he is now on the board of AJX.
I don't believe he is in this for a quick profit, his modus operandi seems to be that he wants to guide the companies that he invests in.
His other 2 investments are private companies unfortunately so not much info.
I see him as a strong vote of confidence, however, I do think timeframes need to be pushed out now. A typical PE firm flips a portfolio company in 3-5 years for a big profit. An activist like Simon Moore might take an even longer view. I think it's not unreasonable that we'll see $1 again in 3-5 years but this is no longer a "hyper growth quick profit" scenario.
