Hope they've found the the missed mother lode. The original Mt Goldsworthy mine not far away started off as an ancient weathered iron mount before it was turned into a pit.
Goldsworthy mining was a fantastic company to work for. I have many fond memories of Shay Gap before FIFO back in the day when they used to actually build a community around the mines complete with families and school shops even a full size footy oval .
