As usual you are most certainly wrong, Thorium is concentrated in the Waste, For Lynas there are numerous documents that state that the Level of Radioactivity in the Ore is 1 Bq/g and increases to 6 Bq/g in the Concentrates being exported to LAMP. That is why the TSF3 at Yangibana is specifically designed to contain Radionuclides, It is lined with Bentonite and HDPE to prevent seepage of those Radionuclides; not any acids or other process chemicals which are I believe are specifically neutralised prior to their disposal in TSF2.
Despite Lynas's continued denial, technically it is TENORM. Once ore has gone thru a concentration process it is no longer 'Natural Occurring', And if as you claim there is no Radon gas please explain how do they stop the 'Natural process' of Radioactive decay ? also why does the Malaysian "Container" unloading room have to have enhanced ventilation and the workers there have to follow Radiation procedures ? If you don't know ~ It is all in the Companies Radiation Management Plan.
