Really depends on how competent the AI is, if you are basing it on the current voice activation that we have say with tealstra theb i fully agree with you, if it allows you to have an instant comprehensive conversation or allows you to get the answers/bookings etc with a airline etc then that is another matter, i bought two work utes and a car in the last 6months, if that usless chatbot they have on there sites had of been had of any use being able to give specs information to be honest the first dealer with the best price at the time would of had my money instead i had to sent a submission and wait for a dealer to get back to me. So in this instance i do believe there is practical use and increased conversion rate will turn to increased sales
