I had a peep who the opposition spokesman/shadow minister was a while back for the mining industry. Summarily he was a school teacher with zero knowledge or experience in mining and had made only one speech in his parliamentary career. Given that coal mining is so important in Queenslands economy I would guess that both sides are local P&C level minds, not much talent of competence anywhere. Wake up sleepy Queensland.
