This is a great thread. Thanks to all.

If one looks at various major company announcements and looming government financial constraints there is a common theme emerging of staff lay offs in high paying corporate roles (not at the coal-face). There is also a theme of many closures in the gig economy where business models failed to generate sufficient operating cashflow to fund expansion, MilkRun a good example and the demise of bnpl.

I think what this means is that many middle income families will be in financial strife and over use of credit cards to just get by will eventually mean, in Australia, larger PDL’s will be available to CCP to buy during 2024 and 2025.
