yep....why go to that conference... The people at this company just need to get their heads down and work their ass off to start accomplishing the things they have been promising.
There was also no need for them to go to diggers and dealers this year. They would argue they were meeting potential options for staff accommodation etc...but if they really cared about shareholders money, they wouldn't have had 4 or 5 of them up there during the most expensive week to ever be in Kalgoorlie! They could have explored those options when the costs were a quarter of the cost....but I guess they didn't want to miss the piss up that we paid for.
Yes, it's a networking event for companies....that have something interesting and exciting to sell. What were they telling everyone who stopped at the booth at diggers....'well, thanks for stopping by, we just recently released a very disappointing announcement to our shareholders because we have failed to hit any of the KPI's we have outlined for the last 2 years and at this stage we are at the very least 18 months from restarting our projects. And to be honest, with our sensational salaries, were not sure the company will survive to see that day'!!
