It is a sad state of affairs when a nation which is on the cusp of another energy revolution which that has the potential to be the Saudia Arabia of lithium over the next 20 years and our government at the federal level on both sides are plain just ignorant.
They will just take the taxes they receive and give out more tax cuts. Simple really.
Yep Japan will do but will BHP come to the rescue. What other global conglomerate might pop up, Australia is still one of the best places to invest in mining and hard rock that we have is pure quality.
Just imagine if our government got behind the battery metals, supposed a zero carbon for say 2040 and provided even small incentives for the car makers, the potential would be explosive....but ohh did I hear Anthony Albo say we need to support coal, Sco Mo eats coal for breakfast every day and gas is going to be our savour.
