According to the Grand View Research industry report, " ... The global metal magnesium market size was valued at USD 3.5 billion in 2019 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8% from 2020 to 2027 ... ". And this is only the metal component, largely focused on EV automotive production, magnesium is also used in a large variety of other industries.
