pg 26 of this update was interesting to read...I wasn't previously aware of the uncapped 1.5% Net Smelter Royalty that accrues to GOR once 2M ounces have been produced by Gruyere. If everything goes to plan this should begin kicking in within the next 2-3 years and be circa 2700oz p.a. and worth somewhere like $8M p.a. (I'm no expert on how an NSR works, so feel free to correct me if my thoughts are way off the mark here). But it got me thinking anyway, what would this royalty be worth if GOR sold it for upfront cash to help fund a DEG takeover or JV for their Hemi Development? Surely Goldfields or someone like Franco Nevada would be interested in buying it...what would it be worth? $50M? 70M? More? Have GOR management ever discussed their intentions regarding the NSR?
