I came on this thread to see what was happening after reading one of their fund managers in weekend paper...may have been AFR article re small caps.

he says he's going to not be in a hurry to buy small caps as reckons u can get them at 0.5 pe ratio! ....yeah right, if they're going broke maybe, or just had a huge one off profit in an industry with a dire outlook !

see they're shorting Graincorp..yeah after weekend rain that looks smarter, but I dont think another huge crop was baked in..still I did see they had only taken 350000 tonnnes till end Oct...but Qld would have got a fair chunk of harvest done since plus some of north east NSW I think...southern NSW and Vic will be critical to hold tonnages up
