PERTH, Jan 16 Under-administration West Australian explorer Quest aims to produce an updated timetable soon to complete a $A1.82M placement for its recapitalisation and reinstatement after settling WA Supreme Court proceedings by shareholders Mutual Holdings and KHV Holdings challenging their exclusion from voting at Quest's Nov 2016 general meeting.
Quest acknowledged that veteran prospector Roger Nikolaenko, director of Mutual and KHV, has never been found by any court or tribunal to have been a “shadow” director of Quest. QUEST MINERALS: RECAPITALISATION VOTE PLAN
PERTH, Oct 7 Shareholders in West Australian explorer Quest have until Oct 24 to approve a recapitalisation plan to end its voluntary administration since May. The company has been told by ASX it will be delisted if it can't meet the deadline.
The plan negotiated with investors comprises a 1-for-300 share consolidation, the issue of 91M shares at 2cps to raise $A1.8M, 2M shares for corporate advisory and lead manager fees and 4M shares and options for directors' fees. Funds raised will support work to advance the Victory Bore gold project in WA's Mid West region. QUEST MINERALS: VOLUNTARY ADMINISTRATOR APPOINTED AFTER JV FAILS
PERTH, May 9 Quest appointed voluntary administrator Adam Shepard after a syndicate of private vendors terminated its 80% earn-in agreement over the Perenjori iron ore project in Western Australia.
The company was brought down by issues including a damages claim over a past tenement transaction and the collapse of a rights issue because of the extended suspension of its shares on the ASX.

PERTH, Sep 27 Quest Minerals has lifted resources at its Perenjori iron ore project in Western Australia’s Mid West region by 30% in a study that also highlights its potential to attract a price premium.
The study by consultant CSA Global of metallurgical data from drilling completed in November 2012 has increased the total inferred resource at the two tenements where Quest is earning 80% interest to 191.7Mt at 36.6% Fe.
The project’s Core BIF Zone has risen 42% to 93Mt at 37.2%.
MD Gino Vitale says the results give Quest confidence that it will achieve its exploration target of 320-360Mt at 32-37% Fe in planned further resource-definition drilling.
He says the high grade and low impurities of the magnetite ore will make it possible to produce an export product of over 68%, which would attract a price premium on the 62% Fe CFR benchmark standard in northern China ports. QUEST SEEKS PORT ACCESS FOR PERENJORI PROJECT
PERTH, Apr 15 Iron ore explorer Quest Minerals has begun preliminary talks with the Geraldton port authority as it works towards a three-year deadline for production at its Perenjori magnetite project in Western Australia’s Mid West region.
Quest is earning 80% interest from the Devereux Syndicate by spending $A2.3M on exploration of two tenements containing a JORC inferred resource of 147Mt at 36.77% iron. Its global exploration target is 320-360Mt.
The company hopes to negotiate commercial terms for access to existing train unloading, storage and shiploading facilities at the port to reduce its up-front capital costs.
The project conceptual study will evaluate building a 20km spur line to connect with the existing Perenjori-Geraldton railway, which is used by iron ore producers Mount Gibson and Gindalbie Metals.
