I very much doubt that there is uniformity regarding the ionic nature of the clays across the whole region. I'm guessing that some parts will need very strong acid (ph1) to extract the ree's and others parts will give up the ree's with less strong acid (ph4 say)

also I'm guessing (from my reading today) that the areas where there is a greater concentration of the more valuable ree's eg Tb will need a different treatment (eg higher ph or lower acid) to areas which contain a greater proportion of the more abundant ree's.

so why not do the initial met tests on the areas where there is a higher ree concentration and in particular where there is more of the valuable stuff

my concern is that if we rush out the met work and it has been focused on the areas that are less likely to give up the ree's at sensible ph levels eg ph 4, then the market could punish us prematurely

I assume they are wanting to get some momentum going (not surprising given the share price the last few years) so even partial test work that confirm anything they want is better than none.
