Wasa - from memory it took Shell over a year to come to their answer of no which was just a frustrating as the final answer. I hope that senegal is a success, firstly to make myself a few dollars, but secondly it would be nice to say to Shell, 'you were wrong'!

Gotta - that second spike to around 17c in 2007, was when FAR reannounced the potential resources they had in Senegal. They had 4 blocks back then, but had to relinquish the 2 deeper blocks due to licensing agreements. I think AP have those deeper blocks now.

It just shows what a little marketing and sprucing the goose can do.

My take on L6 is to wait, wait, wait and see what BG, Afren, Apache, Anadarko oncover on there drills. I know its a gamble, but surely one of them will drill something commercial. Or do you reduce your risk and pull the trigger as soon as possible to lock someone in?
