Currently the government are funding childcare around $7 billion annually. In my opinion, that's not going to increase.
The market today is a sea of red. However, the biggest concern to childcare will be the recommendations of the Productivity Commission. I think the introduction of nannies, with recognised qualifications, attracting government rebates will change the face of childcare. Not so good for the large corporates, but will be welcomed by families everywhere.
