Hi Scythevex, didn't note your post until now as I only look at ABY once in a blue moon. ( dead in the water like most mining stocks).
To answer your question, Straits Resources has announced previously that Straits is 5th largest Independent  copper producer in Australia, ABY was in front of SRQ but since the sink hole Straits is now producing more than ABY.
There are only a few Independent producers, likes OZL, IGO, KBL, ABY, SFR DeGrussa Copper-Gold Mine
"Data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics indicates that mine production of copper (in products) in 2014 amounted to approximately 970,000 tonnes. Output from Strait’s Tritton group of deposits at 27,000 tonnes, equates to about 2.8% of national mine production."
